The powerhouse barrage from the garage known as The FundaMentals have returned with a new album…a trashcan rock opus.
You might remember The FundaMentals. We’ve featured them before.
The true spirit of rock and roll shines through once again on their new 6 song garage-arena-blues-power-pop…or more simply put…trashcan rock symphony.
Why do I love the FundaMentals?
Not only are they the epitome of the DIY, indie band, but they ‘Do It All For Rock And Roll’ no matter how many times the world tries to drown them in the ‘Streets of Time’.
The world, ‘She’s Dangerous’, but there’s no time to sit around waiting when you can ‘Just Do It’.
This crew of deranged bastards was brought together by a higher power to carry on the true, raw spirit of rock and roll music. The FundaMentals are loud, proud, in-your-face and will never back down.
This album was meant for volume 11, windows down, fist out the window, driving 80 into the sunset without a care in the world.
The only thing I would have done differently with Full Mental Jacket is put track 6 at track 1 because as soon as you press play on this record I guarantee ‘It’s About To Get Loud’.
The Icon (vocals and guitar), Danger Dan Goodnight (lead guitar), John ‘The Hammer’ Marnie (drums, vox), Big Hoss (keyboards, vox), and Sir Chas House (bass) all deported from various states of this land ended up together by nothing short of what we will refer to as fate.
I will leave you with this quote directly from their bio,
The fundaMentals new EP, “Full ‘Mental Jacket” brings you 6 tracks of their unique brand of trashcan rock, a sonic pipebomb-in-the-poop-chute, a full-throttle rock and roll foot in the wazoo from a band that lives for the adrenaline rush that playing it brings.
Full Mental Jacket will be available on May 15th. Visit the band’s website then connect on FB or YouTube.
