The Aquaducks are the newest, hottest, and funkiest party band to hit the Nashville scene.
Oddly enough, the band’s members are from everywhere but Nashville. This talented group of creative types migrated to Nashville to attend Belmont University.
After meeting during freshman year, the group began jamming together and performing at house parties as a no-name band… but when the music is this good, it’s inevitable something bigger and better is going to form.
The lineup includes Creigh Riepe on vocals and keyboards, Zach Sheffler and Thomas Baxter on guitars, Paul Violante on saxophone, Cade Baxter on bass, and Sam Walker on drums.
So how do they sound?
Epic. Funky. Loud. Awesome!!
Their new self-titled EP includes 7 songs of pure in-your-face, get-off-your-ass-and-move, unadulterated funky rock jams.

This is what Phish would sound like if they merged with Parliament Funkadelic and decided to let Dave Matthews lead the group.
The band is quickly rising as one of the top bands to watch this year. They have already earned a victory at Belmont’s Battle of the Bands in 2012. They were then chosen by Paradigm Talent Agency as 1 of 5 Nashville bands to compete in a Battle of the Bands at 3rd and Lindsley as well as 8th off 8 at Mercy Lounge.
I first learned about this crew at MusicTree Festival 2013 in Manchester, Tennessee where they blew the crowd away with their pure energy and all out performance. They have also made appearances at Music in the Middle 2013 and the 2013 Hippie Hill Festival.
It’s only a matter of time before The Aquaducks leave Nashville and start taking over the world…one funky jam at a time.
You can party with them tonight at 12th & Porter for their album release party.
Be sure to check out our interview with the band.
