The Ghost Ballerina’s, loosely based out of Shelbyville Tennessee, are a 3 piece Indie rock / alt rock group that recently sent Middle Tennessee Music their sophomore EP Play Me On The Radio – released in April.
Play Me On The Radio is a solid group of songs starting from the lead single “Laser Beak Man”, based on a character created by artist Tim Sharp. The record continues through notable tracks such as “Amsterdam”, “O.D. on Happiness”, “She Don’t Want Me Around”, and the title track “Play Me On The Radio”.
The sound of this EP is a well blended cross of several influences with mixtures and elements that remind me of artists like Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Better Than Ezra. You can also taste a hint of a country influence.
Overall, Play Me On The Radio IS a great listen with its catchy melodies and strong lyrics.
