Jay Clark was on his way to California to visit his brothers who he had not seen in years. While enjoying each other’s company over drinks and good food, the brothers challenged each other to make their dreams come true over the next twelve months.
Shortly after that weekend reunion, Jay’s younger brother quit his job, made a short film and started working in Hollywood. You know Jay couldn’t sit around and let himself be outdone!
Jay began writing original material, posting videos on Facebook and soon became surprised by the response. Based in Cinncinati, he tried putting together a local band to elaborate on the 20+ songs he had penned. That didn’t work out so Jay ended up in Nashville with some of the most talented studio musicians recording demos of his songs.
These sessions turned into a five song EP called Never Too Late.
Fast forward to the current moment and Jay is preparing to release his full length album, Cocked And Loaded.
Once the music starts playing it becomes immediately obvious Jay is an excellent song crafter.

Fueled by some tried-and-true southern rock arrangements, Jay Clark Band’s sound falls somewhere on the spectrum between The Black Crowes, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Blackberry Smoke.
The lead single, The River, features Adam Cunningham and is an easy flowing, smooth sailing, guitar rockin’ tune that emanates all the elements of a solid, radio-ready track.
You’ll feel the music, you’ll feel the singing, and you’ll be left rocking your favorite air instrument of choice as the sonic forces infect your senses.
The River is streaming on Soundcloud.
Cocked and Loaded will not be available until April 30th but after listening to my advance copy, you’ll want to keep your ears locked on the Jay Clark Band.
