Louisville, Kentucky is playing host to a rockin’ alt-country band who’s currently hostin’ a Poor Boy’s Revival in Black Bird County.
Funny thing is, all of this happened by accident (or fate, perhaps). On a whim, the guys came together in order to participate in an upcoming battle of the bands. This lil shindig featured some very established acts but Black Bird County flew in and snagged up 2nd place like it was just another day’s breakfast.
Because of the response, they decided it was time for an EP. They headed to Treehouse Audio in Louisville and here we are.
It sounds like they took Keith Urban and Darius Rucker in with them (or at least the influence ;). They might have called up Kings of Leon to add a little spice and then decided it just wouldn’t be right until they jammed out with The Black Crowes.
And folks, that gives you a glimpse into the Poor Boy’s Revival. Now it’s time you go visit Black Bird County and show them some support.
