This is Scott Church, drummer for Dixie Voodoo Revival. DVR is a five piece heavy southern rock band from Manchester TN. that plays our own style of music that has been affectionately dubbed Swamp Metal by Voodoo Nation.
What do you do for fun? You know…besides music?
We all have families and try to spend as much time with them as possible between shows.

What did you listen to when you were younger?
A lot of Outlaw Country, Bob Seger, Rolling Stones, KISS, AC/DC, Foreigner, Bad Company – the classics
What do you listen to now?
Lots of different stuff. Anything from Blind Melon to Black Sabbath and Son House to Pantera
Have your tastes changed?
Definitely, as I’ve gotten older I find all kinds of different music has something that catches my ear.
Was there an “ah-ha” moment in your life when you knew music would be the path you were going to walk?
Two actually. The first time I heard Hot Blooded by Foreigner and the first time I saw a picture of KISS!
How did you hear about Music Tree Fest?
Our good friend Wes Carter, He asked us to submit last year and invited us back this year. Wes is the MAN!
How do you feel about being a part of Music Tree Festival?
Music Tree is a great opportunity for all bands, musicians, and music lovers to be exposed to a lot of different styles of music they may ordinarily have access to.
Do you have plans for Bonnaroo?
Yep! Looking forward to seeing Tom Petty, ZZ Top, and one of my favorites KYNG!

We are currently putting the finishing touches on our first full length CD which will be available very soon!
