London based four-piece FOURS, have returned to unveil the latest evolution of their infectious pop-rock through the release of their stunning new single Even In My Dreams, out now via Big Indie Records.
FOURS are no ordinary indie band, offering hook-driven pop gems that emote a refinement and depth many other artists yearn for. Headed up by the captivating vocals of Edith Violet, described as one of the most compelling new voices on the London music scene, Even In My Dreams finds FOURS at the very top of their game as they create irresistible soaring soundscapes, while skilfully blurring the lines between bittersweet and uplifting.
In this interview spotlight, I chat with FOURS about their latest project, challenges, motivations and more.

Let’s dive a little deeper into You, the artist and your music. What attracted you to this genre(s) or style(s)?
The tunes we write let me express myself without having to pin it down to a particular genre, people call it indie-pop, but I just like singing what I want to sing. Pop is fun though, it rarely goes out of style.
What led you into this journey with music? And further, what drives you to push it out to the public?
We didn’t try and create FOURS, it was the first time us as a collective felt comfortable writing music together. We are driven for the love of doing it, my all-time favourite feeling is being on stage singing my heart out so I’m going to try and do it for as long as I can.
Who or what influences your creativity? Have your tastes in music changed over time?
More than anyone the boys that I write music with influence me, because I’m lazy, but they empower me to keep going. Before I met the boys I only listened to music that was made pre 90s, again because I was too lazy to spend the time looking for new stuff, but I’m more on it nowadays.
Were you trying to accomplish anything specific on this new project? Creatively or otherwise?
We haven’t released anything all year, mainly because we wanted to write a body of work – this is one we wrote a while ago and we still love it (which is rare), I guess we felt it was the right time to show something new. It’s definitely a rawer sound than usual, which I enjoy writing.
What was the last song you listened to?
Jimi Hendrix – Little Wing
Which do you prefer? Vinyl? CDs? MP3s?
I listen to Spotify day to day. I do have a vinyl of ‘Is This It?’ by The Strokes that I love to play. I mean that album is a masterpiece in all forms, but that goes without saying.
How about this one…. Do you prefer Spotify? Apple Music? Bandcamp? Or something else? Why?
I only listen to Spotify because that was the first one that was accessible to me.
Other than the digital era overwhelming us with access to an abundance of music, what is the biggest challenge you face when trying to connect with or find new fans?
I guess exposure is the hardest bit, connecting with people enough that they’ll come to your show even though they’ve only heard one of your songs and don’t really fancy going out on a Wednesday evening. Touring helps with that, touring with great band helps the most because their fans are loyal and are willing to hear you out.
