Polarsets – Another Place To Hide
Indie pop act Polarsets are back this summer with their second album ‘Horizon’ due for release on 16th July. Horizon follows the 2014 release of their debut ‘Parasols’ after a bunch of singles on labels such as Kitsune, Neon Gold and Moda, and showcases a more mature and organic side to the band.
Rob, Mike, James and Carmen all grew up within 5 miles of each other on the North East coast of England and have been playing music together since they were at school. After the final recording session for Horizon was wrapped, Rob left his frozen home for the tropical climes of Northern Queensland and is already working on a follow up to Horizon from his new place in Townsville.
“Horizon is all about journeys. A lot has changed for us since the last record, and this new record reflects that,” says Rob. “We all live separate lives now, but there’s something that still excites and inspires me about working with this particular group of people. We’ve still got a lot to say and a lot of journeys to take together”.
