PJU – Coming Back ft Javi
Londoner Joe Attard & Swede David Andersson are the two-likeminded opposites that
make up PJU.
PJU (formerly Punks Jump Up) formed in London during the mid 00’s sharing a mutual love for dance music, cutting edge culture & style. They organised their own parties and DJ’d all around London before setting up their first vinyl only label, ‘Cassette Records’ and released a handful of 12”s, one being their debut 12” “Be You (Beep Beep)”. It received great reactions from BBC Radio 1 DJs like Annie Mac & Chris Coco and was played by artists like Andy Weatherall & James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem).
After this, things took up quickly and since then PJU have released club smashes like “Say You Love Me” feat River (Which has over 135,000 plays on Soundcloud and was supported & released by The Vibe Guide label) “Give It To Me” feat. Josh Caffe & (Chicago House legend) Robert Owens, “Mr Overtime feat Dave1” (Chromeo), which was supported by Nick Grimshaw in late 2012, “Blockhead” (supported by 2 Many DJ’s all throughout their “Under The Covers Tour”) & “Dance To Our Disco” on labels like Exploited, Perfect Havoc, Kitsune & Moda. Radio support includes Annie Mac (BBC Radio 1), Lauren Laverne (BBC Radio 6), Swedish P3, German, Belgian, Polish, Spanish national radio to name a few.
