Helsinki, Finland based rockers The Impersonators have released their newest single along with visual accompaniment. Burning Blue is now available!
The Impersonators came into being when songwriter Tommi Tikka joined forces with Antti Autio to write new material. While Tikka had worked with major labels through his previous band (Carmen Gray), the vision for The Impersonators was to write a different story from the very beginning. Tikka’s aim was to maintain 100% of his artistic control over the songwriting and production process.
Their new single, Burning Blue, starts off with an intense and somewhat haunting intro before launching into a gentler, guitar-driven rhythm featuring plenty of sonic texture and intriguing combinations of sounds which keep your attention focused and jamming along with this potent, pop-rock jam. The guitar solo which kicks in around 2 minutes and 12 seconds is sonic gold; packing even more punch into this already potent single.
According to Tikka and Autio, Burning Blue is about,
Walking around aimlessly with your heart broken, trying to make some sense of what happened, missing the person you thought was going to stick around.”
The video does a great job at capturing this vibe adding further impact to the track.
Burning Blue was produced by Janne Saksa and Tommi Tikka. You can find it on Soundcloud, Apple Music or Spotify.
