Grown Up Avenger Stuff have arrived to save the day with their new album Sparkleton.
This 4 piece indie rock group from North Carolina formed in 2009 and have been working nonstop to save the world one rock song at a time.
They have been touring internationally and regionally in support of their critically acclaimed 2012 album Alive.
In the summer of 2012 they were chosen out of 400 bands to represent the US in Canada Tour. They’ve also played festivals such as Belle Cherre, Alberta Beach Canada Day Festival, Fort Sask Festival, and the Live Out Loud Music Festival.
The crew won best female vocalist via Creative Loafing Charlotte 2010. They were featured in the Charlotte Magazine Style Edition and they have opened for bands such as Cursive, Sick of Sarah, Killola, April Smith, Vanity Theft, and Hunter Valentine.
Their poppy and energetic blend of alternative rock is on par with bands such as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Queens of the Stone Age, Florence and the Machine, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
According to the group, this collection of songs known as Sparkleton is their favorite work yet. Their goal is to make the backbone of their music a positive thing. Something scary, something loud, but something that makes you feel good and makes you know you are alive.
Mission accomplished. Thank you for fighting through the alleys and sewers to save us all “one rock song at a time”!
You can find the band on Facebook or Twitter. But, as always, you should go visit their website and grab a copy of their new album.
