Singer/songwriter Eric Frisch has mastered the skill of writing infectious pop tunes with a refreshing and comforting retro vibe.
Music Under Sea is a fuzzy, warm blanket woven with the finest vintage-frequencies of the ’60s. The entire album is cozy.
Immediately grabbing our attention with the catchy riff to Slow Draw / Feeling In My Heart, Eric proceeds to impress with silky smooth song structures, memorable melodies, and an ability to create something completely new yet so familiar and classic.
Drift Away captures the very essence of free floating through space.
Telling You Cause You’re The Only One takes us back to reverb-drenched, serenading vocals of 1950s pop.
Heaven kicks up the speed with a little bluegrass infusion, guaranteed to bring about a foot-stompin’ good time while still holding true to that classic retro-pop sound.
I drew a lot of inspiration from bands like Real Estate, Foxygen, and Best Coast, while of course still staying true to my Beatles and Beach Boys roots. Nothing I can do about that,” explains Frisch.
Continuing on through the album, The Light Ahead and Goodbye Slowly both received video treatments.
Topping off at 10 songs of pure retro-awesomesauce, Eric Frisch has delivered an album for the times…whether you miss the classic pop of the 50s and 60s or you enjoy experiencing the music of yesteryear because you were born later on…Music Under Sea is packed with enough musical goodness to appeal to a wide array of listeners.
